E3Sports Partners with Titan Summer Academy

To Help Students Improve Their Athletic Development & Nutrition

New York, NY - June 2009 -- E3Sports has been hired by the Titan Summer Academy program (TSA) to provide its 6th through 9th grade campers with athletic development and injury prevention training. In addition to the training, E3Sports brought in a registered dietician, Mary Ellen Bingham, to provide the campers with instruction in "eating for performance" by explaining the importance of a proper diet. The training will take place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the summer from July 6th through Aug 14th at the Poly Prep campus in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The TSA camp is a six week results-oriented program designed to improve academic and athletic performance as well as build overall physical health.

E3Sports Performance Specialist, Clewi Challenger (a former semi-pro football player), will lead the training sessions, which will include an active warm-up to increase mobility and stability; athletic development training stations to help campers improve their strength, running mechanics and flexibility; and a regeneration/recovery cool down. Prior to the start of the training, E3Sports will measure each camper with the proprietary E3Sports Movement Matrix Combine (Speed, Agility, and Strength). On the last day of camp, students will be re-tested to compare the before and after results.

"Our goal in developing our camp was to assemble a team of best-in-class vendors to build an exceptional summer experience. E3Sports clearly fit the bill. Prior to deciding to work with E3Sports we considered a number of other vendors. Ultimately, we were impressed with E3Sports no-nonsense, gimmick free approach, and their experience training young athletes," commented Camp Director, Bill Solomon. "The focus on injury prevention and overall strength training was a refreshing change from some other groups who seemed to be selling faster 40 times. E3Sports knowledge, flexibility and experience make them an outstanding partner."

E3Sports will use its unique blend of training methods such as yoga, Pilates, fitness training and conditioning to keep campers motivated and to promote wellness. E3Sports Performance Coaches will help campers to build the skills necessary to become better athletes through a series of circuits that incorporate power, speed, work capacity, and strength. The goal of the sessions will be to provide the campers with a foundation for training and nutrition that they can take with them and practice on their own.

"E3Sports is very excited to be a part of such a worthwhile program that not only helps kids to improve their athletic ability and overall fitness, but also provides classroom training to improve their academic achievement." commented E3Sports Co-Founders Andrei Lloyd and Andrew FitzGerald.  "Bill has done an amazing job putting together a program that emphasizes all of the elements that E3Sports stands for: Educate, Exercise, Evolve."

The Titan Summer Academy camp is a part of the Titan Youth Development Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to provide year round, high quality, affordable out-of-school programs for primarily at-risk youth between the ages of 5 and 14 which promotes academic achievement, physical health, and good citizenship. The TSA camp has been developed as a pilot program that seeks to help young students make meaningful gains in academic proficiency and physical health during the summer months. By offering a premier, affordable, summer camp program that combines intensive academic instruction with rigorous athletic development and sound nutritional guidance, the TSA hopes to secure grant funding enabling them to expand the population for the camp at a low cost for future years.
